Welcome to Fella's ArtFest!

Fella's ArtFest is a monthly contest in which the DeviantArt community can display its love and appreciation for art and all its forms.
Each month's ArtFest has a particular theme! To participate, create an original piece of art (all media are accepted) and submit it to DeviantArt as a deviation! From there, simply submit your deviation to fella's very own gallery into this month's ArtFest gallery folder.

Gown of TimeLong ago when her gown was new,
Earth showed it off the universe through.
The blue of her skin offset by bright green –
She was the envy of the galactic scene.
Her flowing green skirt was peppered with flowers,
Each one she’d cultivated for many hours.
About perceptions she cared not a whit,
Leaving her time to crochet or knit
The varied purple peaks that dotted the land,
Having room for some on the glove covering her hand.
Elated at how well her dress was received,
Effulgent rays from without and within she weaved.
Azure skin glowed brightly from dusk ‘til dawn,
Radiantly beaming while over her gown they did fawn.
Time passed ever slowly, its beauty did dim,
Her chances of getting a new dress grew grim.
But she refused to give up, and returned to her craft,
Even though at her first efforts others only laughed.
Fibers stretched taut as she sewed a zigzag seam,
Often wiping her brow as she worked for her dream.

Tiny flowers in whorls and knots
Embroidered within the beads and finery.
Sleeves and neckline adorned with swirls and whirls.
Mother of pearl, that’s what they were.
Buttons of mother’s pearl
Stitched synchronously side-by-side
Upon the beaded bodice of the gown.
